Rivershore Road Bedroom Refresh
This personal bedroom transformation reflects what I describe as my design style: Southern Bohemian. Inspired by the Lowcountry marshes outside my family home, the design draws from the natural colors and textures found in Charleston's coastal landscape. Soft greens, sandy neutrals, warm browns, and subtle sunset hues create a relaxed and layered environment that feels both elevated and deeply connected to place.
Beginning with a clear vision and careful measurements, I refreshed the space through thoughtful furniture selection, lighting, artwork, and styling. Working within a realistic budget, I sourced pieces from a variety of retailers and combined them to create a cohesive design that balances comfort, personality, and functionality.
This project demonstrates how strong design is not defined by budget, but by intentional choices, a clear point of view, and an understanding of how a space should feel. The result is a welcoming retreat inspired by the beauty of the Lowcountry and designed to transition seamlessly into a guest room for family and friends.
