Designed on a mood board, executed on the wedding day.
My involvement with Direct My Day Charleston.
My work with Direct My Day focuses on transforming wedding visions into real-life experiences, beginning with the design process. I create detailed mood boards using Canva and Pinterest that establish the overall aesthetic direction for each wedding, including color palettes, floral inspiration, ceremony and reception layouts, and curated rental selections such as linens, tables, lighting, and tabletop details. These boards serve as the visual foundation for each event, helping communicate the design intent and guide the overall look and feel of the wedding.
The most rewarding part of my role is seeing those concepts come to life on the wedding day. I assist on-site with full event execution, including venue setup, floor plan placement, table styling, décor installation, and guest direction. Working alongside planners, vendors, and venue teams in real time allows me to help translate a designed vision into a physical space. This process of moving from concept to completion has strengthened my understanding of how intentional design choices shape real environments and guest experiences.
